Goodbye/Hello!!

Hey everyone!

So today I'm coming to you with a bit of bittersweet news.
I thought a lot about this and reached a conclusion that makes me half really exited, half pretty nostalgic.

You're probably already screaming at me to tell what it is, so I will: I've decided to stop posting in this blog.
And before you click the little cross up there, wait a sec!! I'm not going to stop blogging! And I'm not going to stop blogging about fashion and beauty.

As you may know, me and my best friend Cate created a blog a few months back called It's a Fashionable Life. It is a lifestyle blog, where we write about fashion, beauty, food, travelling... pretty much everything!!

And since we post about fashion and beauty a lot, and lots of those posts are by me, I pretty much had two blogs about the same thing. I was always coming up with double the ideas about the same subjects. And I also have my personal texts and my random stuff blog, plus my two YouTube channels. So it was a lot!!
And it didn't make sense that I was doing the same type of posts in two different blogs, plus doing beauty/fashion videos on YouTube!

So, after lots of thinking (cause honestly this blog has been my baby for so long and I loved every moment of creating and working on it), I decided that I should focus my energy on my new project.

I'm very thankful for the time I spent writing here. I've always loved blogging, and this blog has been one of my biggest passions for a good time now.

Maybe someday I'll decide to come back and write here, but for the time being I figured it didn't make too much sense and it was too much work for just one person.

But hey, you still get to read my posts every Wednesday anyway!! Only now, you'll read them in It's a Fashionable Life! And with a plus: you also get a post by Cate every Saturday!!!

To all of you that have read this blog, thank you. It means the world to me.
And I hope you'll go over to It's a Fashionable Life and keep on reading my posts!!
If not, still, thank you very much.

So this is in no way a goodbye!! I'm only changing homes ;)

It's time to start a new journey. And in order to that, I have to leave some things behind. But I won't leave you guys!! Or the beautiful memories I've received from writing in this blog for so long.

Thank you all. I love you <3

And before I go, here's a song that's perfect for this moment:

OK, I'll finish this post now :)

See you at It's a Fashionable Life!!

Color Yourself: Old But Gold!!

Hey hey hey!!

I haven't done one of my Color Yourself posts in a while, and I've been noticing this crazy trend that's taking over the fashion world, mostly when it comes to accessories and details: GOLD!!

Yes, that's right!! I see gold everywhere!! It's an plague!!!

So today I thought I'd show you some of my favorite fashion/beauty items that feature the most expensive of colors: Gold!

Clothes

If you don't like to go all out, this shirt is a great option!! It's simple enough, and the gold gives it more edge!

Chic yet casual! Those are the words to describe this piece! Baggy, but super sophisticated!

For special occasion, this skirt is a great option!! The design is simple, but the gold just takes it to another level!

If you're more into the bodycon style, this skirt is perfect! I love the asymmetric touch!!

This jacket is sick!!! I'm so in love!! I might get it for myself...

If you have an important even, try this dress! It's gorgeous, isn't it?!?

Shoes

For the everyday life, these oxfords with a gold toe-cap are a good way to stay in trend while looking casual!

If you're more into sneakers, try these with the gold accents!! The "shoelaces" are a gold chain!!!

Is it hot where you live?? Then these sandals are great!! And they're brown, for a change!!!

Party time? Put these bad boys into action!! Love love love!!!!!

Accessories

Tribal inspired statement necklaces have been taking over everyone's necks lately!! Why not try this one??

The most ADORABLE earring I've ever seen!! Guys... it's an Unicorn!!!!!!

I love headpieces like this!! Even a messy bun looks chic with one on!! I really like the leaves on this one.
So so so pretty!

This bracelet is so precious!! I love accessories with wings. They're just so cute!!!!!!

Black white and gold!! This bag is the union of all the biggest color trends right now. Perfect!!

Makeup

I've fallen in love with an eyeshadow pallet! The colors are all beautiful and the gold eyeshadow is super vibrant! Totally need it!

Gold eyeliner is a great way to amp up your eye makeup! For a subtle touch, add it on your inner corner. If you wanna go all out, do a winged liner with it!!

Use a gold highlighter for a fresh, bright and slightly tanned complexion!! Awesome!!

Well, that was it for today's Color Yourself!!
Hope you enjoyed!!

What's your favorite gold item!!

Top 5 Staple Makeup Products!

Hey you!!

Well, Christmas has passed by, and that usually means that we got some money as a stocking stuffer (am I right?).

Which means this is a great time to stock up on our staple products!! At least that's what I do!!
Am I the only one?? Hopefully not...

So I decided to make this post because some of you may be new to makeup and need some tips on what products to get, or you can just be curious about my most basic products!!

So here they are:

1. MAC Select Cover-Up

The first thing I think everyone should have is a good concealer! There are times when I leave my house with nothing else but concealer under my eyes (when I'm just running errands near my house, per example). It instantly changes your face, it makes you look less tired and dull.
Even if you're not the makeup type, applying a bit of concealer on dark circles and blemishes will completely change your look, make you look healthier and it only takes 2 minutes!
As this is the most basic product for me, it's a product I like to invest in. And to me, MAC's Select Cover-Up is the best one I've tried, so I don't mind splurging a bit.
If you want a cheaper option, Mayblline's DreamLumi Touch is pretty good!

2. Maybelline - One by One

This is my second most basic product! Mascara makes your eyes pop and makes you seem more awake in no time! It's so simple, yet makes such a difference!
My favorites are Maybelline's One by One and The Rocket! To be honest, Maybelline has the best mascaras! They not expensive at all, and they're so good! No need to spend a lot of money for quality! Perfection!!!!

3. Essence - Eyebrow Stylist Set

Yep, that's right! I'll be fully honest with you, a year ago I did not care for eyebrows at all!! Like, AT ALL!
But I heard sooo many people say it was such a huge deal, I decided to see it for myself! So I got this Eyebrow Stylist Set from Essence and started playing around with it! My first times... not good! But I got the hang of it and now I'll almost never leave my house without my brow game on!!

4. Maybelline - Baby Lips

You gotta have something for your lips! And since it's a basic, I feel like something very moisturizing and with some color would be the right choice!
So I feel like Maybelline's Baby Lips are a really good staple to have on you makeup collection! They're pretty inexpensive, and really good! My favorite one's are Cherry Me and Peach Kiss.

5. Essence - Vampire's Love Blush Gelee

First of all, I wanna say I'm super sorry cause I know this is a limited edition product that you probably won't be able to get anymore!
Knowing that, I chose this product because of the simple fact that I do use it almost every single day!
The product is super easy to apply (just rub a bit on two fingers and apply with patting motions on the apple's of your cheeks) and it gives you the slightest, most soft blush look! I love it!
If you can find a dupe for this Essence Blush Gelee, pleeeeeease let me know! I won't know what to do when mine ends!!

Ok guys, I hope you enjoyed this post!!

What's the one makeup product you can't live without?

New Years Eve Outfits!

Hey guys!!

It's New Year's Eve!!!!!

I can't believe another year has passed by... So many things happened in 2014! And I'm sure 2015 will be even better!!

And to welcome the new year, I decided to show you some ideas for outfits to celebrate in:

Just because you'll be celebrating in your house, in no way it means you have to look full on slouchy!!
Leggings are a comfy option, and if they're faux leather it'll add a really cool edgy vibe, and paired with a nice warm sweater it'll look great and still be very cozy!! Since you're at home, some cute fuzzy socks and slippers are a must!! And for accessories, since you just in your house you don't really need them, but a good watch is always a nice idea!! And why not change your phone case? It's a fashion accessory after all!!!

If you're going a family gathering or some place where you want to look specially good, but not go over the top, this look is for you!! A nice velvet skirt will immediately make you look chic! And since it's such a bold piece, I toned down the other items: a simple black long sleeved shirt, a black faux leather vest for some edge, booties and simple accessories. To finish of, some red lips and red bag will tie it all together!!
(Btw, I didn't add it in the picture, but some black tights are a must if it's cold where you live!)

For my full on 1000 bucks outfit idea, I chose this super adorable dress!! It's pink and feminine, yet the top has a faux leather material which give it some edge!! Then, the tights add a very much needed pattern to the look, and the shoes maintain the chic factor. For some warmth, I chose a really stylish and elegant coat that I feel like complement the outfit really well! The heart necklace adds to the femininity of the look, and the bold dragon earring adds to the edge (I love to mix!!). I would go for some smokey eyes and nude pink lips when it comes to the makeup, because I feel like it would finish the entire look very well.

I made this Set's on Polyvore, so you can go to my account to see where the items are from!!

Well guys, that was it for this post!

Btw, if you still want more, check It's a Fashionable Life! I made a post there about New Year's staple products that will make your night much easier!!

Today's question is: what are you wearing today? And what are you doing?
Tell me in the comments!!

I hope you have a blast and that 2015 brings you and your loved ones lots of love and good moments!
Thank you guys for coming back to my blog every week! I love you <3
